Middlesex Association for the Blind provides support for people with a visual impairment to help them to lead full, active and independent lives. They support people living in the London Boroughs of Barnet, Brent, Ealing, Enfield, Harrow, Haringey, Hillingdon, Hounslow and Richmond.

Hearing Impairment – deafPLUS

deafPlus provides services for deaf and hard of hearing people living in the borough of Ealing.

Environmental aids can be provided to help deaf and hard of hearing people living in the borough to help them lead more independent lives such as:

  • telephone amplifiers
  • flashing light doorbells
  • alarm clocks
  • loop systems for the TV/personal listeners
  • text phones/minicoms
  • smoke alarms for those who qualify the priority requirements

Clients can be referred or refer themselves for an assessment by the equipment officer for equipment relating to deafness and communication needs.
